Thanks to his outstanding and totally badass performance in the TV series “Breaking Bad,” Bryan Cranston’s popularity skyrocketed in the recent months. Fans are looking for a place for him in every major franchise in the movie business, and there just might be a chance he’ll join one of them – Star Trek.

In case you haven’t been following the recent developments in Hollywood, the role of Lex Luthor in the upcoming “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” went to Jesse Eisenberg. This came as a big disappointment to Cranston’s fans, but that doesn’t mean they gave up.

If there is one franchise that Bryan Cranston can enhance, it’s Star Trek. Its third installment is still in the early stages of production with a July 8, 2016 release date, which means that Walter White has a pretty good chance at wreaking havoc among the Enterprise crew on the big screen.

This report comes from Film Divider, which informed us about Cranston talking with Paramount about a certain villain role in the upcoming Star Trek sequel.

“Star Trek 3” still hasn’t revealed any of its casting choices, although we know who’ll be the wizards behind the curtain. With Simon Pegg co-writing the script and Justin Lin directing the whole project, we can only expect great things to happen.
