Even though the “X-Men” franchise is a growing industry, one of its stars seems to be a lot more important that the rest. That star is Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, who is now getting his third solo movie.

As The Wrap reports, “Wolverine 3” just found a writer. Michael Green, who previously worked on comic-themed shows “Smallville” and “Heroes,” is reportedly set to pen the script for the Wolverine’s third solo installment.

This news caused something of a backlash among fans, since Green also co-wrote the script for the 2011 disaster “Green Latern.” Even though this was DC movie, fans still weep for the bad fate the film suffered.

However, Michael Green is far from an unpopular writer. He has a couple of upcoming projects on which he’ll be working alongside Ridley Scott, while also reworking the script for “Prometheus 2” and “Blade Runner 2.”

Aside from the love-hate relationship people have with the movie’s writer, the plot of “Wolverine 3” is also something everybody wants to know about. Unfortunately, we still don’t know what will the clawed mutant go through this time.

But we know that James Mangold, who directed the 2013 “The Wolverine,” will be helming this movie and that this will be the last time Hugh Jackman slaps on a pair of sideburns before going berserk and slashing through countless foes.

Considering this is probably the last time we’ll see the Australian actor portray Wolverine, you can bet that “Wolverine 3” is going to be one hell of a ride.
