Forget all that you knew about your favorite Marvel villain, because in “The Fantastic Four” Doctor Doom is going to get a complete makeover.

In an interview with Collider, Doom actor Toby Kebell talked about his time playing this awesome character and revealed some interesting info about the Doom’s name change, origins and occupation.

“He’s Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story,” said Kebell. “And I’m sure I’ll be sent to jail for telling you that. The Doom in ours—I’m a programmer. Very anti-social programmer. And on blogging sites I’m ‘Doom.”

Apparently the movie has decided to forsake the villain’s original comic book name Victor von Doom, and plans to use something that sounds more normal.

Let’s face – how likely is it to find someone named “von Doom” in the real world? But despite that, having an awesome name before he went all crazy and devious is a part of Doom’s character.

The real problem here is his background. Doom has always been a master in numerous scientific disciplines, but in the new movie that’s all forgotten in order to make him into a super-villain-blogger. How does that even come close to the coolness that is Doom?

Without his knowledge of science, we can’t be sure of how exactly will he build the Doombots and other gadgets he needs to destroy the Fantastic Four, unless he somehow magically receives superhuman intelligence.

Bottom line, if you wish to experience the new “Fantastic Four” as a Marvel gem, make sure take everything you knew so far and hide it somewhere deep inside you, so you won’t get disappointed when you find out that Victor isn’t the heir to the Latverian throne.
