Ryan Reynolds Hopes To See Wolverine In Deadpool

Remember how “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” brutally butchered the wonderful image of Deadpool? Well, Ryan Reynolds remembers, because he was also excited to star in the same movie as Hugh Jackman, as he would be again.

Unfortunately for Reynolds, Jackman already announced that he’s pulling away from the franchise. But, all is not as it seems, because the star of the upcoming “Deadpool” still believes that there’s a tiny hope for Jackman’s return.

While talking to News.com.au, Reynolds mentioned an ongoing deal between Fox and Hugh Jackman, which is set to result in Wolverine’s appearance in the 2016 “Deadpool.”

Said the actor: “God I hope so, that would be really nice. I dunno, we’ll see. It seems like he’s open to it, but it’s gonna be more of a scheduling issue than anything else.”

Hugh Jackman made things pretty clear by not signing any more movie contracts with Fox, but that doesn’t mean good, old, adamantium-clad, regenerating, clawed Wolverine can’t make a cameo. We’ll look out for Jackman’s tribute when “Deadpool” hits the theaters on February 12, 2016.
