All you Alien lovers, beware! Ridley Scott has recently been talking to a German site FilmFutter and revealed that there are more Prometheus sequels in store for us, beside the one currently in pre-production.

Scott was asked when Prometheus franchise is planning on to completely meet the Alien movies, and the director said:

“It won’t be in the next movie. It will be the one after this one, or maybe even a fourth film, before we get back into the Alien franchise.”

This clearly means there will be at least 2 more installments in the Prometheus universe, but where is it all going?

All About Destruction

Scott also talked about what the current franchise stands for and the whole idea behind the Prometheus story.

“The whole point of it is to explain the Alien franchise and to explain the how and why of the creation of the Alien itself. I always saw the Alien as a type of biological warfare.”

“For me, the original spaceship that I call the croissant was a battleship that contains these biomechanoid creatures, that are all about destruction,” said Scott, who is currently preparing to shoot Prometheus 2, while his latest, The Martian, should arrive in about a week.
