Joaquin Phoenix Negotiating For A Lead Role In Shyamalan’s New Film

Famed director M. Night Shyamalan is doing pretty well in the entertainment industry, but he knows he could always do better (especially after making two movies that were a near-flunk, After Earth and The Last Airbender).

And how could a director get a fresh skip in his walk? With a new project, of course! And if the director has any say in the whole matter, Joaquin Phoenix will be in it as the lead.

Shyamalan has teamed up with Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions for the project, and he’s negotiating with the famous Hollywood actor Joaquin Phoenix for the lead role.

The pair has worked together on two occasions, and the director probably wants to play it safe as their collaborations resulted in successful movies and critical acclaim.

Reportedly, there’s a big possibility that Phoenix will team-up once again with the famous moviemaker after hits like Sign and The Village, but the team is trying really hard to keep everything a secret.

The movie will probably be shot in Philadelphia, as the filmmaker likes to stay close to home while working, and the movie will likely have a smaller budget.

The cameras will start rolling in November (hopefully with Phoenix onboard), and it’s speculated that we could see the movie next year.
