Homer’s legendary and epic poem is about to get a big screen makeover, and we might be looking at a really familiar face when it comes out.

Famous Hollywood actor and one of the most recognizable faces on the planet, Hugh Jackman, is considering to star in it.

Francis Lawrence’s take on one of the most known poems ever will definitely hit a totally new quality level if Jackman decides to jump onboard, and that’s exalt why they desperately want him in the already anticipated feature film. The famed actor has had a few conversations and negotiations with Lawrence, but he’s still in the “consideration phase.”

If he does, however, agree to star in the movie, he will be playing the coveted role of Odysseus, during the aftermath of the Trojan War. While he’s on a 10-year journey to home, his wife Penelope and his son Telemachus are dealing with numerous problems, especially with the people who presume that Odysseus is dead, and they want to marry Penelope.

Shooting is set to start next year, but there’s still no clue when the production team expects The Odyssey will be ready for a premiere. In the meantime, you can check out Jackman in Pan, which comes out in October this year.
