Upcoming Star Wars installment, Episode VIII, enters the early phase in its production and LucasFilm recently posted a quick production 34-second video showing Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Daisy Ridley as Rey.

In this promotional teaser video, we see the duo as they were at the finale of the previous episode “The Force Awakens”, then we are treated with a brief behind-the-scenes glimpse at new director, Rian Johnson, yelling “cut!”.

Key Cast Revealed

Aside from the interesting teaser video, Disney and LucasFilm also released an official press release in which they revealed the main cast and crew for the upcoming Episode VIII.

To everyone’s delight, most of Episode VII’s key cast are back for the next installment.

That includes Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis.

As for the newcomers, Benicio Del Toro is aboard as rumored (who should be playing a villain), while Kelly Marie Tran and Laura Dern are also joining the club.

Shooting is currently taking place at Pinewood Studios in London, while other, more exotic filming locations read” Skellig Michael, off the coast of Ireland, and Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The full title of Episode VIII is yet to be revealed.
