Our favorite movie babe from the 90s and the early 2000s, Angelina Jolie seem to be on the verge of abandoning her acting career.

Jolie was an actress for decades, and a successful one at that. She earned an Academy Award for her performance in “Girl, Interrupted,” and has been one of the most sought out performers in recent years. Despite all this, the famous actress is seriously reconsidering her career choice.

In an interview with DuJour, Jolie revealed that she would rather swim in filmmaker waters rather than being an actress. Jolie told the magazine: “I’ve never been comfortable as an actor; I’ve never loved being in front of the camera. I didn’t ever think I could direct, but I hope I’m able to have a career at it because I’m much happier.”

Her claims aside, the fact that acting is in Angelina’s blood is undisputed.

Not only is she the daughter of the Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight, but she also debuted in the acting world at the early age of 7.

Nonetheless, her directing career has cause a lot of buzz in the past.

Her first attempt at directing was the true story-based drama “Unbroken,” and it’s speculated that it might just make it to the Oscars this year. The movie’s script was worked on by scriptwriting legends of Hollywood, Joel and Ethan Coen.

Her third movie “By The Sea” has just finished filming. Jolie actually has a part in this romantic drama, alongside her actor husband Brad Pitt.

Despite Jolie’s amazing talent for acting, her new career choice might turn out for the best. Hollywood isn’t really overflowing with female directors at the moment, so a face like Angelina Jolie might just be the perfect addition the society of directors need.
