4. Over-The-Top Sexual Deviancy
While season 1 portrays this social aspect in a graphic but rather tolerable and not-so-extreme way, the follow up pushes the envelope of sexual deviancy a bit too far.
We get lured into Ben Caspere’s chambers of penile fetishism and we get hit in the face with this sick and unhealthy sexual violence throughout, and this feels forced as well.
All 4 main characters have (or had) rather sinister lives and back-stories when it comes to this aspect of physical act of love, but this season definitely crossed the line, if there ever was one.
Sure, hearing the Yellow King and his sister doing it was quite unsettling, but to explicitly see elderly men and young women going at it in numerous unnatural positions was a bit disturbing. Even for the most hardcore fans out there.
