You probably didn’t even know his name until now, but you’ll recognize Djimon Hounsou’s face whenever you see it.

This Benin-born actor has made quite a few appearances on the big screen, none of which should be taken lightly.

Honsou’s first big performance was in the 2000 “Gladiator” alongside Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix.

The one he’s most famous for was in “Blood Diamond,” where he helped Leonardo DiCaprio – another underappreciated actor – smuggle a giant diamond from Sierra Leone.
