12. X-Men 2 – Shadows of Crew

You could be mistaken for thinking that Stryker is being stalked by a strange new mutant in one scene from this movie, but it’s actually a shadow of one of the crew members.

Stryker makes his escape as Cerebro begins to destroy all the mutants, and the shadow is seen as he runs down the corridor.

In a later scene a piece of equipment is clearly visible behind Magneto’s plastic prison. It’s definitely not one of the actors or part of the set.

Critics were delighted when it was announced Bryan Singer would return to bring the X-men to the screen for a second time. The original movie was received well, but “X-Men 2” offered more in terms of plot and character development. Fans of the comic books loved the fact that the movie portrayed the X-Men so closely to the original characters.

The appearance of shadows of crew members wasn’t the only mistake in “X-Men 2.” Several continuity errors relating to Wolverine’s appearance between scenes has been put down to the fact he was also shooting Van Helsing at the time. Storm’s foreign accent from the original “X-Men” movie disappears in the sequel.
