11. Mars Needs Moms (2011)

This lighthearted animated movie is both funny and heartwarming.

Critics and moviegoers both seemed to enjoy this film. However, it was a financial disaster.

The film lost a total of $130.5 million when production and distribution costs were weighed against box office sales.

Many who saw the film said that the film itself was far better than the previews, leading some to wonder if previews had something to do with the box office flop.

The premise of the film is that the child is arguing with his mother because she wants him to do something he does not want to do. They argue and the child goes to his room upset. In the meantime Martians come to earth and abduct his mother because the planet Mars is short on moms.

The child sees his mother being abducted and suddenly realizes the predicament he is in. While trying to rescue his mom and bring her back he realizes how much he misses his mom and that he was wrong to argue with her and yell at her. Finally mom and son are reunited and make up.

It is a cute film that teaches good lessons and can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
