The season of Marvel and DC comic book movies seems to be endless at this point, and now another flick grabs the spotlight. Warner Bros. “Wonder Woman” has been all the rage recently, with the latest reports of its newly recruited director, Michelle MacLaren.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, one of the most iconic DC characters will be getting its own movie after almost 20 years of searching for the right crew.

Michelle MacLaren is known for her amazing work on cable television, such as a few episodes of “Breaking Bad” and some parts of “Game of Thrones.”

Also among her achievements are “The Walking Dead,” “Hell on Wheels,” and “NCIS.”

Running for the job of “Wonder Woman” director alongside MacLaren were “The Babadook” Jennifer Kent, and producer of “Homeland” Lesli Linka Glatter.

The script for the latest Warner Bros. project is being finalized, and the production should be starting soon. According to The Verge, MacLaren is the second female director in the comic book movie business, with the first one being Lexi Alexander who worked on “Punisher WarZone” in 2008.

All in all, this is some great news. Not only is one of our favorite DC heroes finally getting a big screen appearance, but it has also got one of most talented directors currently working in Hollywood.
