Three-Actors-Are-Joining-X-Men

Since the whole franchise took a turn in reverse, we were expecting new, younger blood to enter the world of mutants, superpowers, and world domination in the “X-Men: Apocalypse.” And we were right, as we now find out that Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Sophie Turner just joined the franchise.

This news comes from Bryan Singer, the movie’s director, who tweeted this on Friday: “Meet our new and brilliant young mutants: @Alexshipppp as #Storm @SophieT as #JeanGrey and @TyeSheridan as #Cyclops. #XmenApocalypse”

These young actors have already made a reputation for themselves. You may know Tye Sheridan from his big break in “The Tree of Life,” or “Mud,” where he starred opposite Matthew McConaughey.

If you ever watched HBO’s “Game Of Thrones,” you’ll recognize Sophie Turner from her role of Sansa Stark.

As for Alexandra Shipp, her only appearance on the big screen was in “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel,” but aside from that, she had done plenty of work on TV, in shows like “Days of Our Lives” and “Ray Donovan.”

With Sheridan as Cyclops, Turner as Jean Grey, and Shipp as Storm, we now have a clearer picture of what “X-Men: Apocalypse” is going to look like. Let’s just hope that these three “newbies” can follow up Oscar Isaac’s presentation of Apocalypse, the most powerful mutant that ever lived.
