There are still some rumors “X-Men: Apocalypse” won’t be focusing on the original crew, and perhaps the biggest question is whether Hugh Jackman will reprise his Wolverine role.

Some really Cool Things are Going on

Though we cannot say for sure, but Jackman himself has just revealed that this just might be the case as he hinted in the interview with The Happy Sad Podcast.

“There’s still a lot unknown about that, actually. I have been speaking to the guys and I’m not at liberty to say exactly what’s going on,” the actor told Josh Horowitz.

“But there are some very exciting things about integrating the whole X-Men world, including the Wolverine movie. There are some really cool things going on.”

It is Possible

According to EmpireOnline.Com, there definitely is a scenario in which the beloved character can be resuscitated. (Spoilers ahead)

“The last time we saw Logan in X-Men: Days Of Future Past he had woken up in a future timeline where everything was okay again. But the other younger Wolverine, earlier in his own personal timeline, had been taken into the custody of Mystique disguised as Stryker. So there’s clearly plot to pick up in whichever time period we meet him next, should Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg choose to go there…”

There is also the third standalone “Wolverine” movie, so we cannot say anything yet, and so can’t Jackman himself, other than to state that he’s ‘very, very excited’ about working with the writer, David James Kelly.

Stay tuned.
