We are constantly intrigued by the lives of celebrities. We simply have to know everything about them, whether it is good or bad, beautiful or ugly, appealing or disturbing. And, for some reason, what makes us most curious are their darkest secrets and untold stories which few people know and were meant never to see the light of day.

Well, here are some of those dark and little-known facts about these A-list Hollywood stars and their obscure pasts. Some of them, we are sure, will make your skin crawl.

1. Angelina Jolie

Probably the most famous Hollywood actress today, Angelina Jolie, certainly didn’t have a fairytale childhood and it wasn’t all roses for her right from the start.

She decided she wanted to become an actress while watching movies with her mother, and she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where she trained for two years and appeared in several stage productions.

However, at the age of 14, Jolie dropped out of her acting classes in order to become a funeral director. She was simply intoxicated with dead bodies. She wore black clothing and her hobby was experimenting with knife play.

Jolie also suffered episodes of depression throughout her teens and early twenties. She felt isolated at Beverly Hills High School among the rich children who often teased her for being poor, extremely thin, and wearing glasses. She found it difficult to emotionally connect with other people, and as a result she started to self-harm.

“I collected knives and always had certain things around. For some reason, the ritual of having cut myself and feeling the pain, maybe feeling alive, feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me,” Angelina said on one occasion.

She also began experimenting with drugs. By the age of 20, she had tried “just about every drug possible,” including heroin.
